    Wouldn't it be easier (and catchier) to use the Microsoft name in some way? They have established names like Encarta, maps.live.com, msn.com, etc... Whatever. But why "bing"?

    Not that I'm a native to English, but after reading it for many years and hearing it all over the place... "bing" doesn't sound like a catch to me.

    Google worked because initially it was a funny word that lead you to "search" what it was. "Bing" doesn't arouse any curiosity, especially in a fed up world.
