Need a bike

I'm after a new bike. Was thinking of a charge Grinder
But the more I think about what I want the more I remember how much I like jumping over stuff and going off road a bit - through woods etc sometimes. So I'm looking for a bike for a 6 mile daily round trip commute and that will let me jump over the odd traffic cone / fallen tree! Any suggestions bike people?

nah distance I'm not into. Will never cycle more than ten miles in one go. Mostly for commuting but I like taking steps instead of slopes sometimes, just daft stuff really. I can get a Kona Blast 2007
half price - £250. I do quite fancy the charge grinder though!

How about a cyclo-triathlon? Choose one of the following bikes road/fixie/off-road and do these three disciplines:
20km Road stage
10km Downhill
5km Track sprintInsure your bike before you do it.
