Anyone out there have experience partnering up with a coworker/professional/friend to start up a venture?
Any caveats to look out for? Any advice?

But always partner with someone who has complimentary skills.
You dont want two CDs in one house with no one take care of management / admin / sales stuff.

Put aside a year's salary to compensate for startup costs. Make a good shareholder's agreement so you don't fight about the value of the company if there is a buyout. As Mr Dinky said it is imperative that you have complimentary skills / duties or you will fall all over each other. Make sure that you can disagree without hurting the partnership. Get a handle on your fixed costs of operating the business.

is it a bad idea to partner with someone of the opposite sex who's a nympho cheater? this is a serious question
