- Carl is the best.refunktion
- I like him, too, but there's no denying he's either drunk on the job or needs to spit.blaw
- i don't know this man, but he must be one of the oldest webdesigners then...janne76

Indeed (Carl Kasell). I was a fan of Bob Edwards till they forced him into retirement; can't stand Scott Simon.
- Mimio0
Been like this for years.
- kkills0
Nah, I'm a Robert Siegel kind of person.

My understanding is, Schematic did the UX and design on it, it was then developed in house. That is my understanding. Dont quote me on CNN.

Interesting. Those Schematic guys are tearing up since Cannes.
- readyok0
Did you see the Cannes wall in person? Or just read about it?

very vanilla and boring design, and busy as hell...
*FAIL
- seems like a misguided comment to me. It is NPR, not a photographer.readyok
- < seems like a misguided REPLY to me, the Yahoo 1.0 style portal website is a failure!utopian
- are you making this judgement based on the tiny video you watched?readyok
- From a UX and UI perspective, the website is a shitty mess.utopian
- didnt answer the question, but ok.readyok
- What tiny video?utopian
- You're statment "very vanilla and boring design, and busy as hell" sort of contradicting. Is it vanilla? My interpretation being empty or anemic, or is it busy? Oh wait, it's been clarified that you are reviewing current site. Void comment.tallo

I did not see it in person but my wife did. She was blown away.

reminds me a bit of http://www.themorningnews.org/
not a bad thing, morning news is great.

Here a couple news/media related Websites that are well designed, conceived and well executed on many levels and don't look like www.templatemonster.com template like NPR's pathetic website.
- CALLES0
