I bought a Burton AK 11L back page off eBay the other day and when it came it wasn't as expected.
What back pack do you use for snowboarding? I'm after something small but with a protective goggle pocket.
Also who make the best helmets?

check 4snowboard website, made by mstrpln.

What are you looking to use it for? Hiking the bc for a day, a few days, just a day on the slopes to store gear, hiking to build a jump, etc.
As far as a goggle pocket goes, I'm pretty sure no backpack will come with a hard case.. just the typical special slot or pocket. Besides, all goggles really need is that soft fabric case.

Just a day on the slopes to store a few bits. Camera etc.
Have got forsnowboarding bookmarked but shut down for the Summer which is a great shame. Loved that site.

http://www.forsnowboarding.com will be back up this Fall with a re-launch.
For backpacks, I would recommend Dakine, Gravis, Burton.
For helmets, check out:

http://www.pocski.com/ (though it is ski oriented, still cool)

as said, depends on what you're looking to get out of a backpack.
i have a shovel pack, from dakine- i believe the heli pro, and thats for shovel+probe, and used for hiking. Key ingredients here are slim line design, and easy to strap your board to.
but there's backpacks with speakers built into them as well. Burton even makes the liquid lounger, which turns into a seat, has speakers, and has an insulated section for drink storage.
its all about what you need out of a backpack.
the AK series is more for hiking, so its designed to be more streamlined, not for carrying much more than necessities.

The name may be misleading, it has nothing to do with The Jersey Shore....

I had a Burton pack for the past 8 seasons. It was a little big but used it for everything including onboard carry on and weekend trips. It's not very technical since it kinda old but will carry enough clothing for a weekend trip.
I recently got a smaller one that is built for hiking and easily carries my board on my back plus has a fleece lined google pocket.
