So I just had an email saying my MW2 pre-order has been dispatched. Upgraded delivery to avoid any Royal Mail strikes. 1 - 3 working days. I make that Monday, but it would be nice if it was Friday!

I heard it already leaked for xbox and someone I know say they're playing it and it's ridiculous. "I won't see the light of day for weeks" is what the person said. Scary shit.

i've been play MW1 and that's still super fun... better then WaW IMO - but i do like some of the features in WaW.

Did anyone see my post earlier in the thread about just walking into Best Buy to pick it up vs. doing the preorder? The preorder means you will have to wait in line, while others might just be able to walk right in and get it off the shelf.

I actually looked up info on the real heartbeat monitors and they do exist. I thought they were a little strange for this game, but they apparently keep it as realistic as possible.
One interesting thing about MW2 - the attention to detail is insane. No two boot tread patters are the same for any characters whose shoes you might see.
They've also really improved some of the graphic handling, something called Texture Streaming.

mg33 - The gamestop by me is allowing you to get the reserved Game receipt at 630, then at 1200, they will hand everyone with one of those a game. If you don't have one, you'll have to wait until all the preorders are gone. The store by me is getting 200 copies. They said, if you wait til then, it would be a lot later when you get the game, if you get the game.
But i figured, why wait, they'll get my money eventually...

Just remembered that my office is above a Sears here in downtown Chicago. They open at 9am. I doubt they'll get a ton of copies, but it should be pretty easy to get to work early and see if there's a line or not.

Just order it from Amazon and pay the $6 for release date shipping. The $6 would probably be tax anyways and it comes to your door.

A lot of dumb asses got banned from Xbox Live between yesterday and today for playing CODMW2 with a pirated copy, among other games.
