they have there own on the east coast and not on the west coast. well not yet. so there for they only recommend stuff here on the west siiiiiiide. meanwhile on the east, i guess you get a better deal.

it isnt a labor union, although they might argue that.
it is really just a way to offer a group insurance plan to a bunch of us freelancers.

yeah. my health/dental is about $315/month.
it is pretty good coverage, I have no complaints with it so far.

I joined, high deductible ($10,000) is something like $125/mo. Covers catastrophic illness or what have you. If you don't go to the doc much it's a good safety net. If you get cancer or something terrible your family won't be in debt for life.

I'm a member and I have health insurance with them. There's different levels of coverage so the cost varies. It's group insurance and basically Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I would recommend it.
