The Urban Farming logo doesn't feel urban at all. I wouldn't suggest "grunging" it up (I never would), but I just don't get a connection. I also feel that the logo being that large and bleeding off the package front is too much. I'd rather see the brand mark smaller and the name of the plant higher up in the hierarchy. And the colors...they could also be more urban...maybe toss in a couple of earth/neutral tones to make the bright colors pop more.

dont care much for the flying tomato.. if your going to stick with that logo, try making the tomato more simplified.
I agree with monospaced, there is no connection to urban within the packaging. Muting down the color is a good suggestion.

i don't feel that there is any hierarchy in the packaging. the type layout feels unfinished. the large logo is just too large. the colors are okay but could be slightly shifted as well as the photography. all in all, it feels flat. the barcode idea is nice, but does not need to be anywhere that large. the copy is more sloppy than clever. it doesn't make me want to buy it, and i certainly didn't get the reasoning behind growing it and giving it away...it's a good idea, but the process of it really doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
sorry, that was all pretty negative :\

i think all the elements are there, they are just not in the correct order, size, and placement yet. agreed about your copy, there's a line between tongue in cheek and sloppy.
