Looking to get a good pair of headphones for work. I am off Sony as they seems to always break on me.
Any ideas?
I was looking at these:

Sennheiser is the way to go (good ol' German engineering)!
http://www.sennheiserusa.com/new…- isn't it all made in one country at the end anyway.akrokdesign
- don't like the brand but the product seams good.akrokdesign
- Made in irelandtoe_knee

not too big, not too small, light, don't dent your head, clear, sucker over your ears, but not inside or outside. sweet.

Are you not allowed music in your office?

I love my bose noice cancelling ones. The best music related purchase I've made in years... even better if you fly a lot!

DeviceUnseen,
I have those exact headphones and LOVE THEM! Great sound, actually better than the Sony Pro Eggo's I had that broke.
If you get them, put your ipod on Rock; I've found that's the best setting. On my old headphones, I need the Hip Hop setting to get better bass, but Rock is great on these.

These are the best for at work... you can have the volume all the way up and no one will even notice:
http://www.bose.com/controller?u…These are also very good but a high volume will definitely be heard by your co-workers:
- in ear ones would make me go crazy after an hour. I can barely tolerate them for the gym.mg33

Another headphone thread? Almost as bad as another FFFFound invite thread!

@utopian
You are totally right. Poor form of me. I just went through all 12 threads and this one is already way more helpful then the others.

Still loving my AudioTechnica ATH-PRO5MS. They sound good loud and quiet and they will go louder than you'll ever need without distorting. Quite efficient so run off the iphone great without needing a lot of volume.
best bit is the fat curly cord which is a few feet but will stretch like 20 feet when you roll around your desk.
They are cheap too and sound nicer than my sennheiser HD270s which cost me about $250 and blew in one ear.
http://www.audiocubes.com/catego…- i've got these too (not the camo though). great cans for the money. good sound isolation too.johndiggity
- AND! Since they are camouflaged, no one will know you're wearing them!
(Sorry - couldn't resist)ghandolf - Camouflage? Camouflage is for poor people.boobs

don't buy those bose in ears... they don't fit in your ears very well and fall out very easy
- They fit in my ears all snug... Had mine for 3 years so far and no issues.partridge
- original iphone ones fit betterdigdre
- bose is all hype.johndiggity

- These aren't very good for when you're laying down. When you sit up they fall right off. But you may not lay down at work like us prostitutes.boobs
- I wish they came in all white. To go with my wardrobe.boobs

Get a pair of closed-back AKGs. I have the 81DJ model and they are perfect.
