"dropping a mystery payload" ??
How much of a mystery can it be ?
Open it in Notepad, compare the code to similar codes of executable items using an expert, and hey presto - no longer a mystery. Fuck me, its just code that some person has written according to guidelines expressly implemented by other groups of people, it's not like we're peering into a black hole, unravelling the genome or extrapolating string theory in 12 dimensions. Things like this are not a 'mystery', they're just unknown to some people, work it out for fucks sake.- I am angry and fearful of this comfilker person. He hates our freedoms.mikotondria3

it's a binary, so you can't "just open it in notepad". further, the code has been thoroughly obfuscated, making it difficult to figure out what it actually does. while possible (as it has been done!) it is far from the simple task you make it out to be.
- Yeh, thats what I thought immediately after posting it.mikotondria3

the funny thing about mac-users is you're immune only because no one bothers with your system. security-wise, macs are an accident waiting to happen. everyone likes to point fingers at pcs and at internet explorer in general saying what abysmal pieces of shit they are. the fact remains though that windows and windows browsers all have complicated checks and anti-spyware code in place to attempt to head this stuff off at the pass so to speak. they have been dealing with this sort of garbage for years and try like mad to keep their systems secure. though they might suffer from hacks and "holes" they are reasonably vigilant about creating patches for those problem areas.
macs do not have that kind of security. as they become more popular people are going to find it very easy to hack into and take over mac systems. i've read accounts from various hackers that discuss how macs are wide open in terms of vulnerability. There's nothing to stop anyone getting if they wanted to. So, go ahead and rally round the apple store and sing coldplay songs about how great your revolution is. enjoy it while it lasts, fuckers.

- Agrees 100%.
*typed on a G5duckofrubber - if it was so easy, why haven't they done it yet?********
- especially since hackers hate macs so much, wouldn't they be aggressively targeting them?********
