How would he continue the tour in Canada? It's way too much work to carry those drums around.

WTF that bit at 5:40 is ridiculous - the question about what he listened to as a kid... Geez...
- That actually reminded me of something i'd read on QBNlocustsloth
- Haha, totally.

From the Globe & Mail article:
"Thornton's band members then played a tune without Thornton singing as he normally would. He stood instead by his publicist's side.He left without saying goodbye, which the other Boxmasters did, sheepishly."
Jesus H. Christ! Way to promote that music, Billy Bob.

If I was Billy Knob Thornton, I probably wouldn't want anyone mentioning my acting career either...

This whole interview went south from the word go. Look and his bandmates faces as they are being introduced. They knew it was going to go badly after that intro.
I do see his point even though he seems like a whiner. But he gets hit with this everyday and I can see how he wants the 2 separated. But unfortunately he can't have it that way.
I think the DJ handled it fairly well. Do you think the DJ knew about his policy? Do you think the producer told him? Because if he didn't, I would have stood up for myself and called him out.

I find it sort of obvious it was staged for publicity
- sure BB acted this way for publicity, but "staged" suggests the radio show was involved. absolutely not.horton
- oh hah wait... staged was my choice of words in above reply. whoops :Phorton
- fake as in BB acting this way for negative publicity, yes of course.horton
- i have a feeling Giam and the band were aware he was going to ACT this wayKwesiJ

there is no way this was staged. I mentioned it in the other thread that has has acted like this before when the same situation has arisen.
I was listening to to my daily sports talk station in the car a couple weeks ago and they had him on. They talked sports and the band. At the very beginning of the interview BB made it clear he did not want to hear the "A" word. The hosts kind of laughed and BB said it again in a very stern tone and said he wasn't f-in joking.

Billy Bob: "You wouldn't ask Tom Petty that would you"?
Gian: "Well Tom Petty has sold millions of records and would never lower himself to do my morning radio show, so I guess I would have to say no"

staged.

I think there is a 3 or 4 way bet going on between Joaquin, Billy and some other parties.

so you mention you don't want acting to be mentioned a thousand times and expect people not to mention it then make a public scene over someone bringing it up in context...yeah ... famous people are little too aware of what they say and do in the media, seems likley this was his angle and then he set up a little confrontation on a safe program out of the way in a super media savvy nation. it was destined to go viral and it doesn't help that several celebrities have all had their little public 'break down' within the last 2 months, its the new thing. shits staged.

What a fuckwit...he's so far up himself and so full of his own self importance it's a joke. The guy is a fucking actor, not the King FFS.

i would of said, interview is over, PEACE

whether or not the radio show was in on it or not, i don't know. but i wouldn't doubt bbt gave them a heads up before they went on air that he was going to give his best phoenix impersonation.
and they wouldn't care, it's just better ratings for them.
