If this edit was a true representation of what happened that interview then there had to have been around five or more cameras all filming at the same time. This has had the living hell edited out of it. Nothing wrong with the edits they are fine but notice how many camera angles there are notice how many edits there are. This is not the most convincing program I have seen, in order for it to be more realistic you should not edit so much. Boring to watch but a faithful representation of what went on.
- I have been a bit missleading, I do think this is what happened but I would have preferred there to be less edits.chossy
- its a live national radio show in canada. millions of candians lived to it unfold live on air. obviously they have to edit for YT station.horton
- eh i say? *listened* to it livehorton
- it was live to tape.danthon
- how do you mean did they have a vision mixer? so they must have had about five cameras all going through a mixing deskchossy
- mixing desk.chossy

I was listening to stern yesterday rippin billy bob a new ahole.
he did made a point though, the guy is ONLY known by his acting career and for dating angelina. period. No one knows his music, no one cares about it, they haven't done anything revolutionary within the music industry and the guy compares himself to tom petty.
I understand the guy doesn't anyone saying oh that band only works because billy b is famous, but face it, if it wasn't for him they would not be interviewed, people only want to know why did the broke up with angelina, that's it.

I went to go see a few local Alt-Country band this weekend that are 100 times better than the Boxmasters. It actually made me kind of angry that this band was getting international press when other more talented bands are barley making it. F U Billy Bob! You suck and the only reason people are paying attention to you is because you were in and directed Sling Blade.
P.S. John Ritter and Dwight Yoakam were better in that movie than you. Go back to acting and make a straight to video Bad Santa 2.

"... after a few more viewings might edge out Joaquin’s Letterman performance to win the Oscar for Best Actor Acting Awkwardly Promoting Their Music Career."

i can kinda sorta understand where his nose got all out of joint. When you frame a band in the context of "This is <famous actor's name>'s band:, it's hard to think of it as anything else. Not to mention the negative stigma that most actor populated bands get as "not very good". And if he set up something with the prodecer to say "Hey, don't mention the acting thing, we want this to be purely about the music" and the producer didn't communicate it clearly or the interviewer just disregarded it, it's a violation of an informal verbal contract.
Of course, there are better ways he could have handled it (by reinterating that his acting career is incosequential to this music or something like that)Man, did the rest of the band look like they wanted to die or what
- but who's to blame for that? Billy Bob should be mad at himself then; it's his history.Point5

He and Jolie did some weeeird shit together.
- They were already actors, and hence, not normal. Why not push the envelope?locustsloth
- They are all rumours, of course, but it was before she had children...juhls

but he didn't force the issue, just introduced him as an actor. if he weren't would anyone give a shit? context matters in this case, even just to clarify people wondering if he's the actor or not.
on one hand he wants the power and control of a movie heavyweight by dictating what can and can't be discussed but then wants the fact that he is one taken off the agenda.
i'm a fan of his work but what a fuckwit.

His actions tell me that he'd rather his band wallow in obscurity than be noticed merely for that fact that he's an actor. And i'm sure if the producer said "well, we HAVE to mention the acting thing" he woulda said forget it and walked away
- But, again, he hand;ed it like he was a mental patientlocustsloth

I think I can see where he's coming from... he called music his "hobby". He might have phrased it differently and got away with it.
But he still acted like a child with his arms crossed in a huff and came across as a total douche.
- Did he call it a hobby? It wasn't the intro, I thought the interview was quite reasonably set up.welded

I can understand Billy Bob wanting to distance his music from his acting career, but he is a fool to think he can just clap his hands and have that part of his life disappear. The host was right, it's contextual and Billy Bob was a total brat. I feel sorry for his bandmates - they seemed pretty embarrassed, frankly.
- You could just hear them think "Oh god, please let this be over soon"locustsloth
