What do people think to a portfolio that has no pictures but only words, or spoken words?
Maybe a portfolio that is spoken, where the words become pictures?

sounds like a really bad idea

You will need at least one thousand words per picture

Can't remember who it was, but someone illustrated an excerpt from a book, it looked awesome.

I think it was Cahan or VSA, one of the US big boys, their website was just a video of some dude talking about their work, no imagery, just chat.
Was OK, they had the balls to do it.
But at the end of the day, I wanna see some fucking work.
- Yeah, but Bill Cahan is well known enough to do that. Not really ballsy when you're already this shit.monospaced
- Anyways, Cahan closed shop this year.monospaced

Kind of perfect if you are a spoken word artist.
- Shit if you are a mime artist, tedious if you are a piss artistcentro

Hey MR_EKKO (Lost fan), show us your portfolio.

It would be interesting, maybe just for the mind and not for a practical reason. I would love to hear one and then actually see the work after.
I remember coming across a book called 'words with no pictures' by Peter Davenport. Because of the high fees for the use of images, he just adds the caption with white space above.

To do a whole or large portion of a portfolio this way might be too extreme an approach and become a turnoff, especially for something that is supposed to be visual to begin with.
That said, it might be really interesting and compelling to do a few select pieces with you talking through the process while showing components, or doing a 'pitch to completion' type of delivery.- Yeah a mix would probably be a less radical approach, and much easier to digest. good ideaMR_EKKO
