Remember back when you thought you were cool when you started designing? Or when you started working at a well known agency? Then you realize it to be a big pile of stool?

i always thought of this profession as being geeky. at least that's the impression people get when you tell them what you do. whenever i see somebody after a period of time has passed, they'll ask, "so how's that software engineering thing going for you?" I tell them it's fucking great, then i uppercut their nuts.

by the time I have told her that I design mostly for print, like, brochures, branding, adverts for billboards etc. The next question is usually, "flip, you must be loaded!"

Dad's side of the family = engineers, doctors, accountants = no one understands anything I do. Even my siblings are going this way.
Mom's side = graphic designers, programmers, and all work with their hands extremely well = not as much explanation.
