Was home at lunchtime and caught an article on the news that tickled me.
Seemingly Fred Goodwin, ex manager of Royal Bank of Scotland and centre of this big scandal about his £700,000 a year pension after running the bank into the ground had his home vandalised by a group who got in touch with a local paper to say they were responsible and this was only the start of the payback.
You'd assume that it was probably drunk students that did this on their way home from a night out or a party as it happened in the early hours. Mind you, old age pensioners are up at the crack of dawn so it might have been a disgruntled group of pensioners out there getting their own back.
They were interviewing his neighbours and they were saying something along the lines of "this is a really nice area of edinburgh so were surprised at the vandalism, we dont condone violence or vandalism .... but he's asked for it"
hahahaha. Was something on the news this morning about a court case being opened up with regards to the iraq war to find out if it was illegal etc.
They shouldnt bother, just send people from Iraq Tony Blairs address lol

This all boils down to being able to put a face to a problem. There are many other people like him out there who have done companies / the economy no good and walked away with millions. It just so happens that he was one of the most recent and in charge of RBS, who we now know were a bunch of moronic cowboys and we're all paying to save.
He is a cock though. SMASH HIS BACK DOORS IN!!!

I'd take the pension on offer, arguably it's not his fault the bank are fucking stupid enough to pay it out to him.

Frankly, he played the system. He did a lot of good deals, but basically he was greedy, but the system let him be greedy
I hate how these bankers have become the public face of all of this. All the worlds governments and in the uk that means Labour let the fuckers get away with it, and actively encouraged it all. the true faces of this are Gordon Brown, Greenspan, bush et-al, and they all are getting away by pointing the finger.
twats
- Good deals? You kidding me? He royally fucked upTOMMYxGUNN

There was something interesting in the news about this "Terror Training" that people will be getting in the UK.
It was a quote from this article
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/79…The quote was:
"The updated strategy will increase the focus on challenging individuals and groups who undermine the UK's "shared values" - even if they are not breaking the law."If this is what determines a terrorist, then doesnt that make Sir Fred and all these other Bankers terrorists?
- unfortunately his are the values we have all shared over the past 25 years and we are merely reaping what we have all sownkelpie

"Gordon Brown said tens of thousands of civilians had already been trained in how to look out for suspicious behaviour in crowded places and to react in the event of an attack."
oh no, what the fuck are they doing????????

i wasnt asked and no one I know was?

and he has a family so no matter whats he has (or rather hasnt done) no need to intimidate them

Wonder if this terror training is happening cos they are maybe expecting something to kick off at the upcoming G20 or at the Olympics 2012?
The government has also been criticised this week for coming down too hard on protesters and treating them as criminals/terrorists

I love the fact that they put a picture of his house in the paper! Come on lads, there it is!!!!!

hehe yeah the house was on the news too.
a lot of the houses in that area of edinburgh have big walled gardens and security, but his house is as you see it in the pic, its a few metres away from the pavement.
not exactly the kind of security that youd expect from someone running such a big bank

personally I'd nuke that entire area of Edinburgh, might make the place a bit more friendly

What we need is more Tories. Lot's of them. And Prince Charles.
