I know some people who created an app that measures various performance of your car. I don't have an iPhone but it seems pretty handy when guaging if you need a tune up.

If you've got a Mint (banking, not webstats) account, I find that app to be extremely useful.
Also, the Boxee remote app (if you have Boxee) and the iTunes remote app.
Ebook readers like Stanza or Amazon's Kindle app.
