Whoah, rage much? I didn't call you a cunt. I was just saying that there have been many threads discussing the particulars of the book—so many they were nearly impossible to ingore—and if you had read any of them through you would have known about this project a long time ago. Did you get passed up? Are you contributing?

Fuck you mono fucking cocksucker. I wasn't being a cunt. Why are you being a cunt?

If you had been around at all during the last month you would have known all about this book.
- I was around during the last month.moth
- then it's 100% your fucking fault for not knowing now, isn't it?monospaced

Well I gave up trying to find out NotByHand. I dunno. I think had you asked QBN to make the first thread sticky or something it might have panned out differently. This place fucking sucks when you want to search for something posted IN a thread too (like this fangled brief/pdf thing...).
- moth has a point or two there.
search sucks, that's why i use google (with site:qbn.com)janne76

It would probably seem more organized if the site was up, as there would be links to different answers and sections (which you can't really do in these threads). Anyway, everyone a part of this project is probably very busy and it's all for a good cause. I, for one, am very pleased with how things seem to be coming together.

Moth, I'm sorry if you weren't able to get a good overview of this project from the various threads, and if questions you've had were left unanswered.
A full website for this project is close to going live (aBetterTomorrowBook.com), which will hopefully give you the kind of informational insight you were looking for.
In the meantime, please feel free to email me with any questions you have regarding this book project (seriously).Cheers.

the patience of the organizers is tremendous. they deserve the utmost respect for that.

@moth:
To be fair, when this was first discussed a number of members stated their willingness to participate. That group received a detailed brief and all of the necessary assets to proceed.
Considering every aspect of this project is volunteer, I have to say I'm impressed with the organization and sincerity with which the participants have taken on these efforts.
The current level of noise in the PV is just that—chatter.
- Organisation was top notch, i don't understand what you are talking about moth...Kiggen
- Like the chatter Jack Bauer picks up?Kiggen
- LOL @ Kiggen.Jnr_Madison
- Those threads just functioned as a direct helpline (where the hell you'll find this) and all the participants helped out each other in there.Autokern

moth, everyone who signed up were directed to download the brief and template from the original thread. This answered 99% of people's questions (even although lots of people still asked lots of questions in these threads that were covered had they just read the brief). That's why when people enquired, they were told to download the brief, it was all covered. The concept of backups only came later, hence the slightly confusing nature of it.
- Marko (moamoa), Rene (NotByHand) Mike (neue_75bold) and Tom (digdre) are the ones who have put this together. Donating their time and skills to try and make this work. Hats off to them.Jnr_Madison

Jesus... why's everyone so touchy? Does pointing out the chaos in here denote a lack of support?
I asked (and dozens of others) ages ago what this was all about and no one stepped-up to give a decent response. I continued to read the threads and I'm still none the wiser as to who's running the show, what the deadline is, where the spec is, and where anyone would go to find out. There's like 10 threads in here with "organisers' calling people cunts for non submission and these people are consequently claiming complete ignorance of being on "The List" in the first place. Personally I'd be pissed at that.
It's a total shambles, but the beauty of it will be pulling it off at all at this rate. So no. I wasn't joking. Put the transcript in for prosperity. It'll make for great comic satire.
- this should be the introduction to the book...coco_ono

I think moth is actually saying that without project managers designers get confused and miss deadlines etc, not that the book is badly organized. I'd like to think he's just ripping the piss out of us disorganized bastards.
Or I could be wrong.
