Has anyone got any amazing, super-secret techniques the fullfill the dream of extracting multi-tonal hair from a multi-tonal background?
Or is this stuff what nightmares are made of?
Common techniques that usually generate great results are failing....and I don't want to cage myself like a monkey with the pathtool all day..
Any ideas? Point me in any nightmare solving directions?
All help appreciated, cheers...I'm gonna try some other ideas in the meantime

the way i do it stuff like that for movie posters is to do the body with the pen tool, channel mask the hair as best i can, then paint new hair on top of that
if you paint in hair yourself you can almost always make it look a hundred percent better than the original 'cause you can define groups of it a lot better
- i've seen it done by someone here at the office and it does look really good to paint the hair in.capn_ron
