Well, I don't necessarily mean portfolio sites for designers. For instance, I think of this as a portfolio site:

But I think of this one as not being very good. To me it's too bloggy looking, and it's utterly uninspiring.
When I see a site I really like, I say to myself "Wow! I wish I'd done that."
So, maybe the questions should be, "what's a portfolio site you've seen which you think is really, really good?"
