Kelloggs has a great promotion right now. their advertising on tv and the web about fixing up fields for kids to play sports on nationwide. These are the kind of movements that are a start in the right direction. http://www.frostedflakes.com/ I think brands like this get it. I think.

Advertising is far from dead. If anything it's flourishing more than ever. What is dead, or slowly dying are the traditonal companies who only do print, radio, TV, etc. Unconventional is the future.
The face of advertising is changing. There are no rules anymore, there is no mold. If you can think it up it can probably be done. The sky truly is the limit in current advertising.

Never got the hoo-ha about 'media neutral' anyhow. Good ideas are media neutral anyway and good minds should be able to apply stories further than regimental confines. Ambient has always been a fertile playing field before digital so in some ways some 'digital specialists' are just the latest bandwagon jumpers after TV. All bullshit really. Nothing changes , carry on.

Yes, advertising is dead. It will all be done through MySpace and Facebook now.
