I guess motorcross would be lame if this didn't happen occasionally.

that is so fucked. honestly, i'm suprised this hasn't happened before. i mean for all the x-games stuff, those athletes are doing more and more crazy shit. bigger, faster, harder, stronger. it's getting out of hand.
RIP.

for real. motocross and supercross are fucking demanding as it is, and mixing in the freestyle act on a 300lb cycle is completely nuts to me. i have never been on board with that sport.
I remember back in the racing days, all the squids that never rode before would watch that shit on tv, go to the local track and try tricks and break their shit. it was good for us cause we were buying brand new bikes off these guys for cheap cause their moms would liquidate them.

ron jeremy? that guy dodged a lot of bullets.

WOW! that is really sad. They are definitely pushing the limits of that sport. sketchy.
RIP

This is very sad, backflips have become the norm. Almost too common place anymore. He was a great guy.

There's something graceful about those bikes though and the tricks they do. However, the growing snowmobile freestyle stuff like they showed at the X Games this year just seems dumb. It's too fluid; it looks like the sled is on some kind of track in the air. It's so heavy it just keeps this perfect arc of momentum and it looks entirely too easy for them to land. One of the more boring things I've seen. Lots more landing surface compared to a motorcycle and lower center of gravity as well.
- that double backflip was ridiculous. think if one of those sleds were to land on top of the rider from that height?!lvl_13

Wow, how sad. I know these guys know they're rollin' the dice every time they go, but still... man... sobering.
