sorry to tell you but its really hard to evict someone. when i was living in long beach, there was a couple up stairs who just stopped payed the rent. so my 83 year old apartment manager (she) took them to court. she won. but it took her 2 or 3 months. still no money, i think.

IF the lease with your gf is considered a binding contract, did you use a standard Lease form? If so, there should be verbiage about termination of the contract. I.e., you give him 30days to be gone, after that, you call the sheriff dept. and change locks.

If you need to be extreme, and talking to him doesn't work, then go ahead and change the locks and dump his crap out after you have warned him (note - tape yourselves warning him, seriously). What's he gonna do, call the cops? You'll have the lease, and tough shit.
