whats the best way to export a webdesign if the original was only made in 72dpi ?

Capture it as big as you can, then resample it at 20cm wide @300dpi.
Shouldn't look too bad. And the bicubic resample should help in smoothing the crappiness.
On my case, a capture at 1280x1024 turns out to be 40cm wide at 72dpi.- bcubic ?WeLoveNoise

just put them in very small...
the web design i'm including at 300dpi i'm only showing at 47.5mm x 27.5mm... which turns out at 585x325px... unless i have my maths completely wrong.

i have a big fuck off monitor here in work if you want me to capture anything for you at a high resolution... this of course only helps if you are taking about full browser sites.

^ oh noes: do not resample it - esp. not bicubic! it's screendesign, so screen resolution is the best you can get. a bit pixelated, but sharpest possible. resampling with bicubic would make it look blurry and like went wrong.
