I think it's bullshit, and engineered.
Are people losing their jobs? Fuck yah. Is there real pain out there? Yep.
What I think is horeshit, is the entire global economy falling into what is fast becoming Depression 2.0, in LESS THAN 6 MONTHS.
Some will argue "well, we've been in a recession since Dec 2007". No we haven't. If you watched the news all last spring and summer, at least here in North America, then the last thing you would have thought is that we were in a recession.
It's happening a little too fast to seem 100% authentic. In 6 months, the global economy tanks so hard and fast? I ain't buyin' it. If the global economy is that fragile, then let's give up now, because it seems like we live in an economic illusion...

It was an illusion.
Was... Reality is just around the corner.

I hear the holocaust was a myth, too

Keep Calm. Carry On.
They’re just trying to sell newspapers.

The last depression started fast too... but it got bad slowly.

What do you mean fast? The shit's been circling the drain since the dot-com crash! How much warning do you fucking need?
I put all my cash into limited-edition paper plates and plush toys in late 2000, and boy am I glad I did! I feel sorry for you short-sighted losers.

you're one of those "the moon landing was staged" guys aren't you?

It's a massive, decades-long conspiracy by the global elite so they can raid the private sector, nationalize the banks, and move us to a centrally planned system.

It's all about oil. If you got an hour...

scarier thought:
nobody is in control and there's not a whole lot that anybody can do to prevent the inevitable result of previous decisions and mal-investments. Even the elites are scratching their heads about what to do.

all things go up and down. it gradually builds up, then falls. populations do this, why not economies?

I blame the scientologists.

when people are eating sand, and washing it down with fermented urine, having not earned a penny in 3 years, I'll recognise that this is a depression of the magnitude of the Great Depression.

The banking system was run like a table of texas hold'em. Some went all-in on derivatives, credit swaps and sub-prime mortgages. And lost. AIG is the best one, they didn't spread risk and insured their whole book to the uninsurable.

I myself wont believe it until there is no more sand OR urine, and people are having to make cakes out of compressed air.

I watch a Russian bloke on TV last night buy a 6 month old Porsche Cayman which cost 58K new, for 10K at an auction for people that have gone bankrupt. The guy was smiling like a fucking champ driving out of the auction house.
