- It's supposed to say fish and yin yang.MondoMorphic

It doesn't say tennis to me. I see the fishies right away.
Whereas I prefer the illustration of sample c, I think you should just go for the straight type treatment of sample d. That connection between N and D doesn't work for me.

they need to look more like fish

- yeah, I'm thinking the gradient is only reinforcing the mark's tennis ball-ness!MondoMorphic

Great - thanks for all the high-quality feedback (and carp) everybody! It's back to the drawing board with some wonderful suggestions.

I'm not feeling the type solution right now... the letterforms feel too condensed to compliment the mark. However... and this may be a good or bad thing depending on who you are but at first I understood the yin/yang... but after staring at the mark for another minute i understood it was fish/whales/whatever as well. I'm not sold on the tales yet though. I think it's a good direction though, refine it a bit and it will be a good logo!

Explore some other type options. And if you connect the ND, disconnect the bottom of the D so it doesn't look like you just butted it right into the N. The mark itself could use some work and exploration in other directions depending on what this is for.
