MacBook white spots on display

My almost 3 years old macbook has a few white spots on the LCD. They're much bigger than bad pixels, also they're blurry. Strangely, they're more visible on a light background than on a black one.
Has anyone here had that sort of thing and got it fixed under apple care?

Had one on an imac display, didn't really know what they were? I kinda just put up with it as it was more of an inconvenience to get it fixed. Ring Apple though see what they say?

I thought I had that on my new MBP. Went in o the store, they changed the desktop image from from the space one to another and they disappeared.

I have 2 of those on my 3 year old + 20" cinema display and also notice them on white. They happened just after Apple Care run out too, so just put up with em

I'd rather buy a matte screen and replace it myself than get Apple Care next time, it's only worth it with expensive models. I'll see what it's worth though.

I had that problem on an older MBP, a late 2003 model. Apple care replaced the screen. It is a known issue with their older displays.

i had spots on my 03 powerbook, The screen was replaced with one that had slightly smaller spots. They are still there and you don't see them unless the background is a solid color.

I had white spots on a Powerbook, replaced under Applecare. I think they'd replace even out of warranty as its clearly defective and will be a known issue.

why is apple having so many problems lately?

This happened with my old powerbook g4 and Apple finally acknowledged it and offered an extension program to replace the lcd. http://www.macobserver.com/artic…
