Client doesn't pay

Did a project about 3 months ago for a client. All went well; I presented to them, they asked for changes, changes were made and final was presented to client.
I did everything I was supposed, then submitted my invoice. They keep giving me the runaround. Now don't even answer emails.
Help? Advice?

tough one. You can go the formal route by sending it in the US mail and sending one to yourself as well. Is it worth going to small claims court? or are we talking a couple of 100?

You gotta scare this person into intimidation,
which, I presume, is the reason for him feeling
comfortable enough to rob you.Sometimes you gotta show a little muscle. Pretend
to be a lawyer. Make some midnight phone calls.
Business sometimes gets ugly.

Email with them asking that you will be sending it to collections agency by X date (2 weeks) and they will be responsible for late fees (if specified) and collection agency fee.

Don't pretend to be a lawyer, contact a lawyer. If you have a family friend or even just able to find an attorney who would draft the letter as your representative.
Only then do you send drgss after them.

If it's a significant amount of loot and you have a contract signed, give them one last notice through some type of delivery confirmation. If you still don't get a responsem get a lawyer. Don't mess around.
If you didn't get anything signed, well...you'll know next time. But in the meantime, send them to your lawyer at www.mylazysundays.com

I heard this just happened to one of my friends. This sort of shit is happening across the board. Get paid upfront 50%. but we're all getting screwd right now because no one wants to do work without seeing something upfront. our industry has to stand up for itself.
