    Suck ass.

I went through a shitty bankruptcy four years ago when my old business folded. Had a partner run up all kinds of stupid ass debts and my name was on the bottom line. It was one of the most psychologically devastating shit I ever went through - especially bc it wasn't my fault. My ex-partner ran up thousands of dollars on personal vacations (which he only told me about AFTER the fact) and then left me holding the bag. Oddly he was supposed to be the "money guy" and I was the "creative". Turns out he had no money except tons of credit cards he had already maxed out.

Anyway, I did the whole bankruptcy thing. All my debts free and clear. I have one credit card now with a self-imposed limit of $1000 which I keep clear. I check my credit report every year to keep up no it. I run a clean ship.

So just now my cel phone rings I pick it up and it's some Assets Recovery Company or something saying I am in $5000 arrears with someone and they're bout to go all legal on my ass or something.. I asked them what debt they're talking about and it's one of te ones that was involved in the bankruptcy I told the jerkoff of it and said not to call me again. He then said "Sory, that's not what our records show and I'll be calling you at this number everyday all day until you on up to your debt sir. And even if it is true, you'll have to prove it to our satisfaction."

I told him you do that and you'll be breaking the law and I'll get my attorney on his ass, to which he just laughed and then said "You try that. I'd like to see that. I'll be calling you tomorrow, deadbeat"

God I hate these fuckers. Shittiest human beings ever. How can you do that job and not kill yourself at night?

Damn. I had a guy call me once in regards to a cable bill debt that Comcast claimed I had. It was a total complete misunderstanding, they sent something for collections they should not have.

This guy that called me was real stern in a completely absurd way. I told him that I would not pay until I called Comcast to get clarification and straighten it out, and he was so seriously almost yelling "Then I will file this call sir as your refusal to pay an outstanding debt."

I really made him mad this way: At the beginning of the call he told me that he had no idea as to the specifics of the what I owed. Later in the call, he told me in full detail that it was for not returning a satellite dish, and I just went, "Now see, you're lying to. Earlier you told me you had no idea what the debt was for, and now you do."

guy got super mad and demanded an apology for being called a liar.

In the end I payed the money, called Comcast, they said it was a mistake, I got the money back, and filed a complaint with Comcast about the whole thing.

"You can request that the collector stop contacting you. You should do this by writing a letter to the debt collection agency in addition to telling them over the telephone. Be sure to keep a copy of the letter for your own records. When the debt collection agency receives the letter, they should not contact you again except to tell you if they are going to take specific action concerning the debt."

A closed cell phone account of mine some how kept incurring two 50 cent text message over 5 years. I got a call one day from a collector telling me that there was an out standing bill of almost $9000.

I had no idea what they were talking about but rather then arguing with them i told them that I will call back and asked for number. Called AT&T, and they called the collection agency.

Again, another time I had -$52 on an account and they kept saying that I owed $52 dollars. Collection agency didnt know anything except $52. Called AT&T, they kept saying that I owed $52. So I went to the store to see what they saw on the screen. They only saw $52 and didnt see the minus sign. So I asked for money back but they said that the money would go toward the collection agency fee. Still didnt get that $52 back.

My story is not as dramatic. Or really interesting. Hmmm...
