Damn. I had a guy call me once in regards to a cable bill debt that Comcast claimed I had. It was a total complete misunderstanding, they sent something for collections they should not have.
This guy that called me was real stern in a completely absurd way. I told him that I would not pay until I called Comcast to get clarification and straighten it out, and he was so seriously almost yelling "Then I will file this call sir as your refusal to pay an outstanding debt."
I really made him mad this way: At the beginning of the call he told me that he had no idea as to the specifics of the what I owed. Later in the call, he told me in full detail that it was for not returning a satellite dish, and I just went, "Now see, you're lying to. Earlier you told me you had no idea what the debt was for, and now you do."
guy got super mad and demanded an apology for being called a liar.
In the end I payed the money, called Comcast, they said it was a mistake, I got the money back, and filed a complaint with Comcast about the whole thing.
