thanks all. Can anyone think of anyone one a bit more iconographic? I can think of a million sorta nebulous/niche/esoteric people that fit this category.
I should have been more specific in my request, to wit: I'm working on this brand/mood board with examples of people who are considered to be culturally ubiquitous, easily recognizable and considered cool, despite their nerdish slant. Smart, passionate, clever. so some of the examples I could think of so far were: Colbert, Warhol, John Cusack, David Cross, Carell, David Sedaris, Chuck Klosterman, Anderson Cooper, Albert Einstein and then some that were offered here as good examples: Michael Cera, Beck, Tesla, Buddy Holly, Tarantino, Spike Lee. Only because these are super recognizable to 50 year old marketing officers. But keep em coming, thanks everyone for your suggestions!
