I'm sorry you all think that they are too expensive but it is actually a very fair price in Denmark and we looked at the prices on some similar webshops, and most of them was 40-45 Euros. Maybe we have to rethink our prices. What do you think would be a fair price?
- NotByHand0
The problem for them is (as he explained above), that the same shirts are being sold at retail stores in Copenhagen. Due to very high sales taxes, this is the price of the shirts in the stores - and they can't undercut the retail price on their site.
Not trying to 'speak for them' or anything like that, but just highlighting an already provided explanation for the price.

The tee it's printed on cost 17 Euros. The print is quite expensive too because we are still a small company. Other than that there is logistics, administration + the time I spend on the designs. It all adds up : (

Overall the the design are nice, but overpriced in a slumping economy will not help you sell your shirts. I have found many similar styled tshirt's also printed on American Apparel all between $18-$25.

Well then if that's the going rate in your area then so be it, I can tell you there won't be too many purchases coming from other parts of the globe, but best of luck anyway. You are probably already aware, but just as an example, Design by Humans' shirts go from $19-$25 US, with free shipping over $70.
PS. from my experience lots of small businesses barely break even when they first start off, and that's something you have to accept sometimes while you gain traction in a crowded market. If you're putting a big margin on this stuff right after starting (& I have no idea if you are) then it would seem you're either in a financial position that requires you to get a return on your investment quickly, or you're just possibly setting your expectations a bit high.
As I said before, best of luck anyway! :)

Thanks for the advice and I wish we could be cheaper but we actually hardly break even as it is. I don't know how other stores can sell them for 25$ but we sell the shirts in Denmark, Sweden and Germany and nobody told us that we were too expensive. Some of the shirts are only 30 Euros if you look closer and. Maybe people just expect online shopping too be cheaper. I have to look into that. We set our prices after these stores:

With all due respect, I think we put a little more time and effort into our designs, pictures of our products and everything else than companys like Design by Humans and though it might look like it, we're not just doing it to make money (though it would be nice to make a little extra). We are doing it for the love of design and t-shirts. For example I spend 2 weeks redrawing the Via Face Don Black font used for "Eiffel" and "2009" instead of just using on of the 15.000 fonts i have in my collection, because I think it was the only font that made sense for that print. Most of you are designers and creative, so I am sure you know why details like that are important though it steals a lot of hours.

The 2k shirts are overpriced too. I bought the Experimental Jetset shirt 'John & Paul & George & Ringo' for my dad for fathers day. I liked the design, he likes the beatles so win win. But the t-shirt itself seems pretty crap quality, its thin, the neck is saggy and I really don't know if its durable. And I'd expect more for the price (think it was £30 when I bought it, which was more expensive in euro due to the exchange rate).
Your tees are nice, but I too think they're overpriced. If I was in a shop and saw a nice tee for €30 I'd think thats a standard price, but more than that and I'd think twice before buying. I could be a cheap bastard but thats just me.
On another note, does anyone actually buy t-shirts online? I need to try on clothes before I buy em, I'm wearing a small DVS tee at the mo, but Im usually a medium or large in certain cases. But maybe I've just got a weird fucked up body.
Anyway, good luck with the shop chief!
- Thx Ian. 2K shirts are not American Apparel and I find them a little thin too. Some of our shirts are 30€, so there you go : )CphGD

$40 is expensive.. sorry.
Your shirts are very nice, if they were a more reasonable price I would probably buy 1 or 2 for my girl. but for a shirt to be $40 bucks.. it needs to be something absolutely fantastic, like.. OUT OF THIS PLANET.. or..
it has to be be from some douche well known brand, kinda like the one every bro wears at the same club..There are really nice shirts for a lot less.. specially online!
I can understand 40 bucks at a retail store.. but online??
- TheBlueOne0
"$40 for a shirt that looks like its from a 1980's debbie gibbson video?"
I am so in....

Bloody hell, $40 $50 dollars for a T Shirt, your joking right. Whats is made out of, cashmere?
- FallowDeer0
very nice shirts!
I would buy quite a few from the site. But from a consumer point of view I did stop myself due to the cost.
My heart says yes buy them all!
but brain says noI would look if you are doing this seriously as a business idea as it seems like you have the right prices for a denmark market, but UK/USA its different. (but its cool that your are offering your designs to us)
bloody love the shirts tho chap
- Thx. a lot FD : ) I think I have to find a way to lower the prices...CphGD

well there is people that buy shirt for $60 or more..
but these people are looking for established brandnames, they want to pay to sport the logo everyone else is sporting.. they are not looking for nice designs or quality for that reason... those people will most likely prefer to spend their money on ed hardy/ abercrombie than here.. but what do I know right?- its a good point and something that you would have to take into account if you where running a businessFallowDeer
- Meeklo0
and that is $40 plus shipping right?
- FallowDeer0
if you look at buro destruct they use spreadshirt
