When I lived in Namibia, I knew a guy with the last name Kabajani, his people, pre-Colonial period, considered themselves natively, literally, Zambian, now Namibian.
Zambia was notoriously known for cannibalism. He said that his granfather was a cannibal, but that he only ate those that were already dead and didn't hunt as his great grandfather's did, etc. Macabre if you ask me.
