My friend and I are rallying from London to Ulan Bator, Mongolia in June '09. When we get our vehicle, cans of spray paint will soon follow.
I am asking: how would you paint it?

have a flag for each country you're travelling through, and a score marker- prison style- under each one. and a bit of blood n body parts on the front fender

In the same vein that the Top Gear guys did with their "gay" and "anti-god" scrawlings on their cars as they drove through the deep south US, i DARE you to paint up swastikas all over your van for driving through europe
:P
- That is an option. We were thinking of being called 'The Mongoloids'. All goes quite well together.alexand

... and if someone confronts you about it - plead ignorance to knowing what their problem is with the symbol, after all it is only a symbol of peace that has been used for hundreds and hundreds of years - and when they start going on about the millions that were killed in the 2nd World War, suggest they are getting confused with reality and films and that they are maybe thinking of Schindlers List or something.

http://www.flickr.com/groups/van…My dad has a box of old car modification and van modification magazines up in his attic.
He looked them out years ago when I was interested in Beetles and Campers. The mags are full of old transit vans with teardrop windows and fur interiors - total shaggin wagons in the back haha.
Also quite a lot of Capri's which wouldve been spankin new cars at that time.

Paint it up with the NT logo on one side and QBN one on the other, then go mentalist.
A guy at a client of ours did this year's one in an old VW Polo. They ended up going through about 3 cars during the prep but he said it was awesome.
Good luck!
