i dig it. i think the layout is clean and light and simple. very nice.
my concerns are the same as everyone else's:
some of the type seems small. it might only need a bump of 1 point in some areas but i think it's worth a look.
and the floating text thing. change it. have it bump out to the right. have it float up with the images. or put it on a white background and have the images go underneath that.

Like it a lot. agree with the overlaying text, I understand your visual experimentation but you could achieve it in another way that doesn't seem to be an error.
your contact should be there at al times, find it pointless to click on contact just to display the contact below. put it visible and ditch the "contact"

very good, apart from the unreadable text as it was said before. I´d ditch that background graphic thing alltogether, but that´s a matter of taste I suppose.
one other thing, if one could switch to the next/previous project of the list, after having selected a project, the user wouldn´t have to go back-forth-back-forth to the overview. would make for a nicer user experience IMO. be good!

the text is not readable as everyone else said, i would include thumbnails of the work rather than just text (you have the space), and make the screenshots much, much bigger.
