I met Sheryl Crow and her parents...really nice, and down to earth. I also met Eric Kretz, he was a real nice guy.
The strangest "famous person" day I had was in LA. I was leaving my office and Mandy Moore was sitting at this coffee shop outside, and we smiled at each other. I was feeling pretty good about myself and stopped next to this guy waiting to cross the street. He turned to me and asked for an autograph. I told him I wasn't anyone famous, and he didn't believe me. He said he liked my work, and loved Truman Show.
"You think I'm Jim Carrey!? He's almost 50 years old!"
"I know, I'll be cool...I won't make a big scene, just sign this paper."
"Look, I promise, I'm not Jim Carrey."
"Why are all you actors such assholes? I'm just asking for an autograph. I'm not asking for money or anything."
"Seriously, I'm not...oh fuck it, I'll sign it...nice to meet you man."
"Thanks a lot Jim, I really did love that Truman Show."
