has anyone else started digging around any of the apps?
used photoshop to design something small last night. i'm really having trouble getting used to the new interface, tabbed windows, bigger icons and tool boxes.
i'm not loving the new ui. i'm sure i'll get used to it, but for now the old version is more user friendly.

I am still waiting to get hold of a copy

it seemed to use up my machines resources (dual core intel/ 4gigs of ram) real fast.
flash's new import capabilities are VERY promising tho. i may stick to photoshop cs3 tho.

master.
i would post but i don't have it where i work. i'll try to remember when i get home. seems like it's best suited on very large displays tho as new menus and such take up a lot more room.

ah, i'm quite interested in these "tabs" you speak of.

yea, instead of having floating windows (on pc) they are tabbed up top like Firefox does. you can then drag them out of that interface to make them float.
i think most of my issues will pass with more use and a larger screen.
- what res you using?atlasundead
- 19 inch flat panel dell, hiest rez, 1280x1024 i think********

did the rotate canvas compass REALLY need to be that fucking huge
looks like they got some OMFGWEB2.0MAKESHITHUGE wannabe designer to do it

and it's not just the size of the icons. when you roll over an icon there is a stroke that's even more pixels around it.
it's not very streamlined at all. very bulky. a lot of blank unused menu real estate as you can see in the screen shot above.

Looks like I would welcome the tabs addtion. Might have to update.
- tabs are huge for me too. especially for indesign.eegrek

yes, but you can either have tabs, floating windows or a fullscreen maximized window that covers the whole interface in that screen mode. no more maximizing within the constraints of the application.
but if you know keyboard shortcuts you should be ok.
- the short cuts do infact come in handy. care to email me who you got CS4?atlasundead
- how

Those stupid right-side toolbars are the worst idea Adobe has ever come up with.

yea, the interface is pretty insufferable.

did the pricing drop or am i misinterpreting the US prices? Could well be it is again (as usual) infinitly more expensive in Europe again ffs!!
- I think it's a fair amount more in Europe and the UK. I think it's the same number of pounds as dollars, which is crazy.********

well, it's gonna be cheaper in euros than it is in dollars, period!

get your euros together. come to the states. trade in said euros to double or triple your bootie and by master at an apple store.
