who loves them? i'm completely infatuated with them. is this weird? yes it is. i think i will try to tackle every creative project by first asking myself "what would the blue man group do?"

I auditioned for them about ten years ago or so. Didn't make it past the first round, though.
- that's because you got creative with your color and went all fuscia in color.kona

they're fun live... put on a good show... and they kiss your tickets after the show - smothering it in blue paint (that's their way of signing it)

I saw them once about 6 or 7 years ago. My dad took me as a "birthday present" when we were visiting some family in Vegas.
I didn't ask to go, but he had seen the show before and thought it was the most amazing thing ever and he wanted to go back so he used my birthday as an excuse. He kept hyping it up and telling me how awesome it is etc...
When I finally saw the show I was completely underwhelmed. The tickets were like $100 apiece. I thought it was kind of a waste, and to be honest my punk-ass back then was pissed that he decided that was going to be my birthday present when it wasn't ever what I wanted to do.
- everyone's parents do that. not as bad as being taken to bed bath and beyond for a birthdayiamlo

nocomply, I can really empathise with what you say there. My Mom&Dad constantly call me up full of excitement to say they have purchased something that is really 'me'. They get really excited about that sort of thing too because I'm 'creative' and they are not that way inclined but find 'creativity' so very exciting. They would definitely buy me BlueManGroup tickets if we lived in the US.
Fairly recently they called me up and said they'd just bought something that was really 'me'. When I everntually saw them - they live a long way away - it turned out to be a very chunky keyfob. Very naff 1980's style, like a bad bauhaus design for a modernist belt buckle, rendered in pale brushed aluminium. Affixed to one face of this big slab of aircraft metal was a piece of domed silicon under which was my name, foil-blocked silver out of a black background. Under my name it said, in rage italic "No Problem: Designer Accessories" by way of a brand name.
It was so 'me' that they couldn't resist.
- I'm going to have to start a "gifts from your parents" thread.fooler2
- Think of the effort they made to show the wanted to please you or what they thought were yr terms.********

- Oh I know Capsize, the good intent didn't elude me. They left thinking I was really impressed, so...SkyPoo

SkyPoo - In an odd way as well its very grounding. These things remind me I am never more than a hairs width from...SkyPoo

The music is purely awesome. <a href="http://www.onthebroadway.com/cheap-broadway-tickets/Blue-Man-Group.php">blue man group tickets</a> The visual property and the colors are amazing.<a href="http://www.onthebroadway.com/cheap-broadway-tickets/Mary-Poppins.php">mary poppins tickets</a> It reflects the diversity and the efficiency of the account.

Their theater is two blocks from my house in Chicago. I've never had any interest in going. I've seen clips of what they do and that was enough. Just not my thing. Without trying to offend anyone, it's always been this thing that I'd be embarrassed to admit to seeing. It's one of those safe bets for suburb folk to come into the city for a little excitement. Apparently it's indeed impressive and quite a visual assault, but again... Just my my thing. I'd be uncomfortable the whole time.
