- Complete one trick pony. All he did was paint.Rushmore
- Actually that joke doesn't even work because he drew and sculpted as well as painting.Rushmore
- and he worked in multiple styles over his career. antithesis of one trick pony.arthur

pollock too short of a career/life :(, mondrian pretty good suggestion im going to do more research into the span of his career, damien hirst agreed super electic (and totally blah if you ask me, that rhinestone skull=wack), Duchamp=genius in my book but i never thought that until i studied his life and work in a class, none the less not applicable for what i'm asking
- I was joking about Duchamp and Hirst. Ironically taking the populist mis-informed POV.MrOneHundred

I don't think I can agree in regards to Futura. While his pieces that have garnered the most mainstream acclaim are always in the same vein, Futura has done so so much more work than alienish sketches and rough-shod typography.

Oldenburg is great! And a lot of the sculptures have meaning. Clothespin is by Love Park and looks like two people embracing. Giant button in West Philadelphia represents the city map with the crack representing the Skuykill.

It does seem that focussing down onto a single strand of process and subject leads to success.
