Obama wins, usa goes into a recession, harder to get a loan, interest rates increase a little, less people buy property, which becomes cheaper

Obama wins, and, after a tough few months, the economy rebounds as Paulson's plan begins to work. As the world cheers, America finally withdraws its troops from Iraq, and uses the savings to make infrastructure investments and move towards alternative energy. On a roll, Obama travels to the Middle East to finally negotiate peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
But then, a huge asteroid hits the earth, killing everyone.

Obama gets elected, assassinated, America's financial and political system collapses. Country wide riots ensue, bringing the US to the brink of civil war. Global warming causes mass migration, border wars break out.
Or...
Obama gets elected. Advances in science and innovation stabilise the world economy and solve environmental problems. Peace in the middle east breaks out. Liverpool FC win the league and champions league.

Financial chaos, spreads so deep that the world we live in today is but a mere happy memory.
It's happening, right before our eyes.
I'm no gloom and doom guy—but this shit is so real, it's fucking bone-rattling.
Sad thing is, there is very, very, very little any of us can do to change it. Jobs will be lost, industries will die, and we should go live in the woods.
To bad I live in Canada, where "living in the woods" means you perish starting December 15, and running until March 15...
