I visited the museum last Sunday, it was the lamest thing I've seen in a while.
The type/identity doesn't reflect what's in the museum at all -- which is crafts (jewelry design, weaving, etc) w/ the usual bullshit artist statements.
Pentagram is overrated these days, and this is a clear example...

Hmmm, can't agree with you there mate. Pentagram was hired to brand the place. Whether the museum has crap or quality work is irrelevant. Pentagram did a great job with the new identity.
I can't say the BP logo is not well done just because their stations and product are crap....
I do agree that they are a bit overrated, but they justify it with great work like this.

It looks good as a campaign, but not a total identity overhall. Besides, 2x4 gave us a similar idea 4 years ago to the BrooklynMuseum which is much nicer imo.

The MAD logo feels lazy. If it's for Arts & Crafts types of works, it definitely fails hard.
That Bobby Burgers Place logo is one of the few times a logotype has actually made me hate a company for no reason other than its identity.
