Let battle commence!

Forget the logo. Work on that once you've come up with a winning name. I'm sorry, but Internet Essentials doesn't work for me. I think O'Reilly even sells a book with that title; it's mucho generico.

Thanks jimzyk we're not committing to your idea right away but it's in the shortlist. Can you send the eps please?
Seriously though, we've had a think and the crown idea has been overthrown - we're back at square one.
A couple of months ago (after asking on QBN what you all thought of Internet Essentials) I came up with a new name:
Universal Mode or Umode for short.I chose it because it sounded kinda prestigious and not faddy and I could grab the domain. umode.co.uk
In addition the umode letter forms work beautifully together and the domain is nice and short for typing.
Anyway, I developed the idea a bit so my boss could see where I was going with it. Here's the results:

What do you think?

back to the drawing board, your current logo looks more like a favicon than a logo, and I'm not a big fan of the others. The think the use of Tailor made in your copy line make you sound antiquated.

Dont think QBN likes pngs.....

Ahh... it started working!

top card is wrong cos the U is below the M in the logo
internet essentials sounds like some kind of wanky company from before the dot com bubble burst. these companies that would be able to offer rich clients a whole lot of nothing for a whole lot of money.
kinda like what a lot of SEO companies do these days - when really it's just good website copy, building and planning and a whole lot of common sense that optimise websites for search engines.

tell you boss to read this, and pay attention to #8
www.entrepreneur.com/startingabu…...
Mistake #8: Choosing the wrong name and then refusing to change it. Many business owners know they have a problem with their name and just hope it will somehow magically resolve itself. The original company name of one of my clients, for instance, was "Portables", which reminded some people of port-a-potties or portable classrooms--neither was accurate nor something the business owner wanted to be associated with. This added to the confusion when sales reps tried to explain their new concept of moving and storage. After some careful tweaking, we came up with the name PODS, an acronym for Portable On Demand Storage. The rest is quickly becoming history as they expand both nationally and internationally.

Thanks Epigraph - sounds like it's worth a read - what the link again? The one you've posted os broke.
