Kind of a different request this time...
If applying to the same company in two cities, and the form asks for salary requirements, what do you put down, especially since one city's cost of living is say 60-70% higher?

I say you should adjust your requirements proportionally to the cost of living in each city.
But I have never been in a situation like that before so what do I know?
- chossy0
as much as you dare to and believe you are worth, obviously adjust them appropriately for the town you are applying to.

I could try and put both down I suppose, I just hope the form lets me.
- chossy0
if there is a bit of extra space for a note or something put down that you have adjusted the salary to be in line with costs of living in the other city. Or don't.... it is a tricky one matey.

I got a response email saying I'd applied when I was only on page 3 of the application. Hmmm.
- 5timuli0
Oh, I was filling out a pre-screen questionnaire apparently.

say you work for the same company and move to an office where cost of living is substantially lower? do you ask for the same amount?
- studderine0
keep in mind the city has no mass transit, thus requiring a car, gas, car insurance and regular maintenance.

I've quoted $30,000 above their budget and still been called in for an interview. There's no shame in looking overqualified.
