One thing I appreciated most from the presidential elections was the amount of people getting energized by politics. They were involved and enthusiastic. It didn't matter who was running, observing that kind of proactive involvement was inspirational. I'm sure we can all agree on that part.
That being said, respect should be given to the other political perpective when they gather to support a message of interest to them. There are no riots, no violence, no vandalism. In other word, they aren't being the typical "activists" we forgive when seeing the anger and open destruction they heap on our streets when sending out their message.
Be happy the political attitudes in this country are still as enthusiastic and energized as the last presidential election. Stop whining about whether these people are racist or bigots or whatever and appreciate the involved political atmosphere.
If your political party isn't getting their message out appropriately, don't blame others for doing it better. If you're upset that the politicians you elected turned out to be charlatans, don't call America racist fat redneck, etc. because you can't see yourself voting to replace them.
In other words its pretty hypocritical, and boring. Get involved again. Find another person to get behind like you did the last time. Wouldn't that be fun. The maybe you'll restart all that creative artists for "x" politician that fueled the young voting block. Right now they're all apathetic. They don't understand because you haven't given them any real information to do so. Crying won't elect a better representative. Nor will inventing way to malign the other side with sweeping generalizations based in limited or no information.
