the Jesus I grew up 'knowing' turned the merchants businesses upside down (the ones at the temple making money off of those looking to worship God) and also was clear that one should 'pay back Caesar's things to Caesar..."
... also - Glen Beck should ask himself if Jesus would even be for a system of monetary trade... OR WEALTH for that matter... as the Christian scriptures say @ 1 Timothy 6 "...the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil"...
Glen Beck doesn't even understand his own religion...

What is the original Christianity? Is there a Church in America? Honestly I am curious there are a million sects of it that throw out what they disagree with.

All of these people talking about repealing this is amazing. They love their captors.
- ukit0
It's not going to be repealed. Even if by some miracle the House and the Senate was able to pass a repeal, Obama would just veto the repeal.

Man, these democrats better pass as many reforms as they can before November. I have a feeling I am going to be seriously disappointed when the midterms happen.

what about the individual states calling the bill unconstitutional?... last I heard there were over 30 states ready to file suit...
... I'm searching the news and only seeing '11' be listed as the number of state's attorney generals ready to go - but mind you all these 'news' sites... are all religiously backed:
- I am sure this will play itself out in the coming days. I am not a constitutional atty so I am unsureDrBombay
- Funny that this just came out now, after things pass. That Cuccinelli guy from VA is a freak thoughDrBombay
- Who knows, with the Roberts Court I'd believe anything. But keep in mind this stuff takes years to work it's way to that level.ukit
- level. Also I think the only part they are questioning if I understand it right is the mandate, not the whole bill.ukit

- sorry not you, theyukit
- this is more than likely their next move - and it will be quick... to insure all those new votes before 2012. :DPonyBoy
- Well the people are here, many are paying taxes and are working. Get them figured out and clkose the gate.DrBombay
- They say deporting all of those people would cost 700 billion.DrBombay
- That is like healthcare/iraq moneyDrBombay
- Yeah I think Dems see a political opportunity for sure but it's also insane to keep these people off the payrollsukit
- Imagine how much tax money we'd collect off them, the debt could be cut in half:)ukit
- I have heard that thru accounting most of the illegals actually pay into the system, otherwise their employers would do time.DrBombay
- would be liable.DrBombay
- yup, most of them do pay! Yet after they pay taxes, since they are not citizens, they don;t get any benefits... do some research...OSFA
- research on this and you would realize that some of 'those illegal people' do actually pay and contribute not only with workOSFA
- Plus, if they deport them all, think of the economic impact... who the fuck is going to take over all those jobs???OSFA

i've posted my opinion on mexico several thousands of posts back, and it still holds true...
if we really gave a shit about immigration we would have worked with mexico and rebuilt their infrastructure, but we really don't give a shit about them, no natural resources to speak of.. and frankly, their labor IS a resource, and they come to us. it is a great problem for the US to have.

It was inevitable that some sort of health care would go through. It is what modern nations do. While many conservatives think that our country becomes "less competitive" because of things like this. There are a ton of nations that think the table has been slanted towards our country for a very long time. And they are most likely correct.
Manufacturing went away because we have the 40 hour work week and minimum wage, it went to countries in Asia, who don't. Eventually they will get these sort of reforms. When citizens get a little bit of money and security, they gain power and have time to pay attention to politics.
Just an observation and me rambling.

maybe instead of deporting the mexicans, the usa could deport all the gays and they could go all gentrification on an entire country and the next thing you know, mexico is fabulous

"Ann Coulter gets cold shoulder in Ottawa
University vice-president warns U.S. conservative pundit to brush up on limits of free speech in Canada before appearance this week [...] Mr. Houle invited Coulter to “educate yourself, if need be, as to what is acceptable in Canada” and noted, by example, that “promoting hatred against any identifiable group would not only be considered inappropriate, but could in fact lead to criminal charges.”

Lunatics...
"Conservative talk hosts reacted to the new health care bill this morning..."
"We need to defeat these bastards," said Rush Limbaugh. "We need to wipe them out.
Glenn Beck, on his radio show, offered a similar sentiment in addressing President Obama and Democrats who supported the bill: "Our master is common sense and God. I don't think right now you have either one on your side."
The choice in the elections this fall, he said, is clear: "Are you an American or are you a mouse? Are you an American or a European?"
Morning host John Gambling on WOR (710 AM), a long-time critic of the health care bill, said, "Our studio this morning is draped in black bunting," and took a call from a listener who said it should be "red bunting, with a hammer and sickle in the middle."
FBI officials are investigating a self-proclaimed conservative blogger after he used his Twitter account to call for the assassination of President Obama on Sunday night.
Solomon "Solly" Forell tweeted: "ASSASSINATION! America, we survived the assassinations of Lincoln and Kennedy. We'll surely get over a bullet 2 Barack Obama's head."
Another post said, "The next American with a clear shot should drop Obama like a habit."
