Many angry Democrats blame their candidate, state Attorney General Martha Coakley, for running a sluggish campaign that let Republican Scott Brown set the contours of the race.
Some Democratic strategists lay the fault at the feet of President Barack Obama, saying he should have done more to sell the party’s agenda.

This Obama guy; he's got what it takes to move crowds - he's an oratorial pugilist par excellence! In ancient Greece, I bet he'd have been awarded the highest possible trophy in the Repartee department. No mistake, the guy is f*cking eloquent. But having said that, I still stand by what I said last time. All this hype about change will amount to crap. There's no way Obama (or any US president for that matter) can take on the real forces that control American foreign policy. No ways US will suddenly dismantle all those military bases around the world. Empire will remain empire - period. I look at all the people across the world jumping up in jubilation to 'welcome a new era' & I shake my head in despair. Will the human race ever wake up? I think not. As they say, 'let the dead bury their fellow dead'.

I'm kind of amazed that Obama got elected after admitting that he smoked dope? Anyhow, MA people are hoping to elect the (R) because they are sick and tired on the status quo, and because if the current health bill passes, MA people will get the double shaft. Simple as that.
