BAGHDAD — Fearing political division in the parliament and in his country, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki won't sign the just-completed agreement on the status of U.S. forces in Iraq, a leading lawmaker said Friday.
The new accord's demise would be a major setback for the Bush administration, which has been seeking to establish a legal basis for the extended presence of the 151,000 U.S. troops in this country, and for Iraq, which won notable concessions in the draft accord reached a week ago.
"No, he will not" submit the agreement to the parliament, Sheikh Jalal al Din al Sagheer, the deputy head of the Shiite Muslim Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, told McClatchy. "For this matter, we need national consensus."

Don't get me wrong, folks, people with attitudes like those in the video above scare the ba-jeezus outta me. But what were the "protesters" and camera crew looking for? Did they think the McCain supporters were going to politely change their minds and everyone would hug? Of course not, the protesters were being provocative, looking for exactly what's displayed in that video.
No riddle me this: if someone walks into a cave and start poking a bear with a sharp stick, can you blame the bear for attacking? Doesn't make what the bear does any less terrible, but it's certainly not as shocking as this video frames these peoples behavior. What's more, i've heard just as much ridiculousness and venom from extreme a-conspiracy- around-every-corner liberals. It's all a result of politics being turned into a spectator sport.

Palin's 'going rogue,' McCain aide says
With 10 days until Election Day, long-brewing tensions between GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin and key aides to Sen. John McCain have become so intense, they are spilling out in public, sources say.
Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN that they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin "going rogue."
A Palin associate, however, said the candidate is simply trying to "bust free" of what she believes was a damaging and mismanaged roll-out.
McCain sources say Palin has gone off-message several times, and they privately wonder whether the incidents were deliberate. They cited an instance in which she labeled robocalls -- recorded messages often used to attack a candidate's opponent -- "irritating" even as the campaign defended their use. Also, they pointed to her telling reporters she disagreed with the campaign's decision to pull out of Michigan.

Joe Lieberman adopted the role of Republican attack dog early on, but as the election draws near, he's hoping the political world has a very short memory.
Lieberman, a self-proclaimed "independent Democrat" who was chosen by McCain to make the case against Obama at the Republican National Convention in early September, said his comments have been within bounds.
"When I go out, I say, 'I have a lot of respect for Sen. Obama. He's bright. He's eloquent.'"

Watching McCain on meet the press is excrutiating. He really struggles so much trying to find anything genuinely positive to say about palin that really contains comparitive substance over the dem ticket.
Look no further than him saying she's the boss of 24,000 people in Alaska, or mentioning that her husband works third shift on the north slope as evidence that he seriously reaches so far to qualify her.
And I'm really ready for this laugh to end.

At the risk of my life, I must issue a GRAVE WARNING to my fellow Americans - about a
potential Civil War between millions if Obama,
the Black candidate, is elected President of the
United States, displacing the white president -
inducing America to become a Black Nation.
There are some whites who cannot accept this,
especially during the drastic hardtimes ahead,
and will initiate a spark of violence that will
spread over the Earth like a wildfire. The
World is now on the verge of such a threat,
and the World condition is highly volatile.
This is most likely the test Biden mentioned.
Neither candidate mentioned RACE for its
beyond their expertise - so they just let it
happen - slaughter like never seen before.
I fear if Obama wins, America will lose.
Now, what will you do to avoid such a hell?Dr. Gene Ray, Cubic and Wisest Human.
- conversely, imagine the unrest if obama is elected and is then assassinated. There will be many many who will not accept thisautoflavour
