This Vicious Buffoon Is a Vessel for All the Worst Elements of the American Condition

Donald Trump, American president*, disgraces his office once more.

    Excerpt:

And comes now this hopeless, vicious buffoon, and the audience of equally hopeless and vicious buffoons who laughed and cheered when he made sport of a woman whose lasting memory of the trauma she suffered is the laughter of the perpetrators. Now he comes, a man swathed in scandal, with no interest beyond what he can put in his pocket and what he can put over on a universe of suckers, and he does something like this while occupying an office that we gave him, and while endowed with a public trust that he dishonors every day he wakes up in the White House.

The scion of a multigenerational criminal enterprise, the parameters of which we are only now beginning to comprehend. A vessel for all the worst elements of the American condition. And a cheap, soulless bully besides.

I understand the outrage behind a Supreme Court nominee lying in front of the senate about his college drinking habits. But shouldn't Ford's attempted rape accusation still be the priority until Kavanaugh is acquitted or convicted?
Is the sexual assault on an individual the lesser evil or is a woman's accusation no longer relevant?

    • We're taking callers!soundofreason
    • Sounds like reason to mefadein11
    • He didn't just lie about drinking, he lied re: Miranda and other elements of his earlier testimonies. The other outrage is the Repub refusal to let his Bush-eraallthethings
    • documents be seen. The whole thing is a sham.allthethings
    • Kav understated but he did not lie. Dems played politics horribly, if he's not confirmed payback will be painful in Nov.robotron3k
  • Gnash7

It's all clear now that the FBI report has been leaked

  • chukkaphob5

If Kavanaugh did assult her, his nomination should be withdrawn and he should be persecuted for sexual assult.

If Ford lied, she should be persecuted for libel.

One or the other should happen. That would be justice.

However, as the story unfolds before the public eye, neither one is happening. This is absolutely f*cked!

    • Until any witnesses show up, Fords statements are going to be considered delusional.robotron3k
    • Yes, of course. That's part of this absolute nonsense!chukkaphob
    • Why would her statements seem 'delusional'? Kavanaugh lied throughout his testimony. I'd give her the edge in believability.mathinc
    • Only assholes think the claims are delusional.monospaced
    • The claims against him are that he drank a LOT, and that he sexually abused / took advantage of women, right? Plenty of ex-classmates corroborated the drinking.mathinc
    • And his yearbooks mostly corroborate the womanizing.. 'devils triangle', 'boffing' 'renata alumnis' are all references to sex. <- all of which he lied about.mathinc
    • @mathinc what did Kavanaugh lie about?chukkaphob
    • The womanizing stuff on its face is fairly normal. But did he take it too far (?), is the question. The existing investigation didn't give us answers.mathinc
    • Did he lie about consequential topics, though? Yes, he did. The claims of Ford lying are for inconsequential things like remembering details, and does ...mathinc
    • she fly on planes. Silly shit. Well congrats Rs, looks like you're going to have a SCOTUS seat that will energize Ds for a long ass time.mathinc
    • @mono were you there? cause everyone else who was supposedly there deny her story. Until we hear otherwise she is delusional. Need HARD facts and there are NONEchukkaphob
    • No one 'denied' her story. No. One. People said they didn't see it happen.. but that's a very different thing than 'denying her story'.mathinc
    • ^ other than Judge.. he denied it happened. But here let me put on my surprise face.mathinc
    • I am making no such claim. I’m just saying that assholes are immediately claiming she’s lying.monospaced
    • @mathinc he NEVER lied about any of this. He admitted to drinking. And the yearbook stuff is no grounds for dismisal from becoming a Justice.chukkaphob
    • Also, where is Kavanaugh's lie detector results? Ford has one. Get fucked. You guys got on board with Trump, Roy Mooore, and now this clown.mathinc
    • I personally believe she’s being honest. It happens to most women. There’s no way to prove it either way. That is where we agree.monospaced
    • Maybe you need to just start acknowledging that you don't give a fuck about women being assaulted and raped?mathinc
    • @mathinc the sexual assault he's been accused of has not been proven in ANY way and the event altogether has been denied by 4 witnesses.chukkaphob
    • They were with her the whole time? Or they were at the party and didn't see anything? You do see how those two things are different.mathinc
    • @mathinc of course I care and this is why the truth needs to come out! if Kavanaugh indeed DID assault her he should be persecuted (just as I stated in my post)chukkaphob
    • Up above you said ' the yearbook things aren't reason for dismissal'.. we're not talking about that. We're talking about 'believability'. He lied.mathinc
    • @mono rape happens, and so do lies ;-) I am not standing by one or the other until there are solid HARD facts/proofs.chukkaphob
    • You agreed that until hard evidence comes out, then she's delusional. She has a lie detector test, she didn't lie during the hearings. He did. So why would shemathinc
    • be delusional? We don't have hard evidence, so you have to look at the other things we DO know to form judgement.mathinc
    • @mathinc not a single person out of the 4 can back up her story. Even SHE doesn't remember where or when it took place...chukkaphob
    • ...and has no idea how she goot there or how she left.chukkaphob
    • It's not unusual for a sexual assault victim to not remember certain things. This isn't proof that it didn't happen.mathinc

    • one of them said that she had never met or known KavGnash
    • Which, she very well could be misremembering all the people there. Why did he lie repeatedly though? Dude tried to explain how Devil's Triangle was played.mathinc
    • Said Boofing was farting even though we all know it means 'fucking'. This is all in addition to lying re judge stuff in the first hearings. Stolen emails, etc.mathinc
    • i guess he must be thoroughly embarrassed about being a frat-boy, douche bag.Gnash
    • there was no proof that Kav knew the emails were stolen (it's not likely that he didn't know, but that's not the point)Gnash

    • She's a psychiatrist who knows how to "pass" a lie detector test.chukkaphob
    • She lied about fear of flying.chukkaphob
    • She lived in a 500 sq foot home for a loooong time , although she claimed she was claustrophobic becasue of the alleged assult.chukkaphob
    • She's a far left dem who suggested a year ago someone should come forward and accuse of rape then nominee Neil Gorsuchchukkaphob
    • She wrote the letter to Feinstein with the help of her ex-FBI dem friend Monica McLean...chukkaphob
    • .....who also witnessed tempered with Leland Keyser pressing her to change her story and say she was at the party.chukkaphob
    • Christine Ford lied and fabricated the story, as far as Kavanaugh being there. I believe she was assulted, but not by him. She just attached the assult onto himchukkaphob
    • She absolutely never suggested someone accuse gorsuch of rape. That’s a verified false rumor.monospaced
    • She’s a psychologist, not a psychiatrist. There’s no proof at all she helped anyone with a poly. Just another rumor from the right.monospaced

Hide your daughter, hide your wife... Creepy Uncle Joe is coming at you in 2020

One month before the 2020 presidential primary begins in earnest, Biden continues to lead in early polls. He is ramping up his schedule of midterm campaign appearances and, perhaps more significantly, meeting with donors.

This week, before appearing at a rally here Thursday for several House candidates, the former vice president raised money for his American Possibilities PAC at two fundraisers in the Los Angeles area.

The host of the first event, film studio executive Jeffrey Katzenberg, was critical to then-Sen. Barack Obama’s fundraising success in the 2008 presidential primary. And while Katzenberg has met with many prospective 2020 candidates, Biden’s appearance in Beverly Hills served as a reminder of the connections he still can tap into.
