"The nation of Qatar has unfortunately been a funder of terrorism, and at a very high level," Mr. Trump said on Friday at the White House. He added "the time has come to call on Qatar to end its funding."

    ....

Trump sells Qatar $12 billion of U.S. weapons days after accusing it of funding terrorism

Putin offers Comey political asylum like Snowden

Vladimir Putin trolled the US on Thursday, when speaking in a live call-in show with the Russian nation, the Russian president likened Comey to Edward Snowden, who was granted asylum in Russia in 2013, and scoffed at James Comey's disclosure of his conversations with U.S. President Donald Trump, saying the move has made Comey eligible for political asylum in Russia.

"It looks weird when the chief of a security agency records his conversation with the commander-in-chief and then hands it over to media via his friend," Putin was quoted by Russia's Tass. “This is strange. What is the difference then between the FBI director and Mr. Snowden? He is not a head of the special services, but a human rights activist.”

So if I'm to understand omg's 'logic' correctly (and I use the term logic loosely)...

If the apartment fire is the fault of the Mayor (who omg will always be quick to point out is a Muslim)

Then the shooting attack must be the fault of Trump? Right?

Well, GOP Rep. Sanford on Va. shooting seems to think so: Trump partially responsible ‘for the demons that have been unleashed’

“The president is at least partially — again, not any way totally, but partially — to blame for demons that have been unleashed,”

“If you let these forces play out, I think we end up at a very, very bad spot,” Sanford said. “What happened yesterday was symptomatic of it.”

Thoughts omg? Willing to apply your logic here?

Nah I'm just kidding omg. I could care less what you think. Go fuck yourself.

I think the Democrats are making such a big deal out of Russia because it's the only way in their neoliberal fantasy that they lost - not that many of the institutions in American politics have been so corrupted that people saw through all the bullshit and couldn't support a candidate like Clinton

So now if they can pin some sort of legal logic on a loss it gives the DNC an excuse to plow forward with this bullshit notion of corporate globalist values as some sort of self-imposed notion of 'populist values' even when they can't win a goddamn vote to save the country

Corbyn is the sign of things that must come, a strong socialist presence in American politics to make a multi-party Congress where both the left and right will be represented (the moderates will be there to just make deals and money)

    • Well, if the Dems hadn't sand-bagged Bernie Sanders ...Continuity
    • Exactly - the DNC already has shown no interest in going to the left, this is just trying to have a public narrative to point at as an excusecolin_s

Conservative Provocateur Behind Democrat Election ‘Rigging’ Videos Hit with Million-Dollar Federal Conspiracy Lawsuit

During the heat of the 2016 presidential election, a conservative group named Project Veritas resurfaced when they released a series of hotly-debated videos that they claimed exposed rampant “election rigging” by Democratic operatives.

Then-candidate Donald Trump later used the videos to base his claim that “the Clinton campaign has paid people to disrupt violently, our rallies,” and rig the election. We should also note that, as Think Progress and later NBC News reported, the Trump Foundation paid Project Veritas’s leader James O’Keefe $10,000 in 2015.

At the time, Democrats of course fought back fiercely, claiming the sting videos were selectively edited to smear the Democrats and cast undue doubt over the Hillary Clinton campaign. Now O’Keefe and Project Veritas have been hit with a $1 million conspiracy lawsuit over the videos.

Ted Nugent says he’s seen the light after Virginia shooting: ‘We have got to be civil’

Singer Ted Nugent claims that he has seen the light and will stop using toxic rhetoric to attack Democrats.

In a Thursday interview with 77WABC Radio, Nugent swore that he has “reevaluated” his language and would refrain from saying “anything that can be interpreted as condoning or referencing violence.”

“At the tender age of 69, my wife has convinced me I just can’t use those harsh terms,” he admitted. “I cannot and will not and I encourage even my friends/enemies on the left, in the Democrat and liberal world, that we have got to be civil to each other.”

We asked 8 Senate Republicans to explain what their health bill is trying to do

    [spoiler alert: they can't]

    Here's one interview:

    Tara Golshan, Vox
Generally, what are the big problems this bill is trying to solve?

    John McCain
Almost all of them. They’re trying to get to 51 votes.

    Tara Golshan
Policy-wise. What are the problems in the American health care system this is trying to solve — and is the bill doing that right now?

    John McCain
Well, it's whether you have full repeal, whether you have partial repeal, whether you have the basis of it. It's spread all over.

    Tara Golshan
But based on the specifics of the bill you have heard so far, is it solving the problems in the health care system?

    John McCain
What I hear is that we have not reached consensus. That’s what everybody knows.

    Tara Golshan
Right, but outside of getting the votes. From what you hear of the actual legislation being written is it solving the problems you see —

    John McCain
It's not being written. Because there's no consensus.

    Tara Golshan
But generally speaking, what are the big problems it is trying to solve?

    John McCain
You name it. Everything from the Repeal caucus, which as you know they have made their views very clear — Rand Paul, etc. And then there are the others on the other side of the spectrum that just want to make minor changes to the present system. There’s not consensus.
