Pro-Trump radio host Michael Savage claims he was assaulted while having dinner with his toy poodle Teddy
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/…
Michael Savage, the 74-year-old host of the nationally syndicated talk radio show Savage Nation, was dining solo at Servino Ristorante in Tiburon, with his toy poodle, Teddy, keeping him company, when another patron allegedly began taunting him by saying, 'weener, weener.'
- deniro?inteliboy
- Same day his pro trump book went on sale too.monospaced
- Good, this guy is a scumbag.CygnusZero4
- I doubt there are any Trump supporters in Tiburon either.monospaced
- Michael Savage is weapons-grade scumbag. Back in the early 2000s a 14-year-old girl named Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped and repeatedly raped..garbage
- ..over a period of 9 months. For some reason he felt the need to mock her on his radio show, calling her a whore and saying if he penned an article on her..garbage
- ..he would call it "Snow White Gets Raped By Bum in White Robes." The boom would be "Lizzie does Utah".garbage
- He's also a massive hypocrite. He used to constantly deride Jon Stewart for not using his real name. However, Mr. Savage's real name?garbage
- Michael Weiner. Wouldn't be surprised if he faked this to drum up sales for whatever rubbish he is publishing. Fuck him. /rantgarbage

OK so at first I was shocked to hear that Trump cut all funding to NPR and PBS, but then I read and educated myself.
"Defunding the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is unlikely to cripple either PBS or NPR. NPR received less than 1 percent of its revenue from the CPB, and PBS less than 7 percent, according to data from 2014 reported in the Washington Post."
- its part of the chipping away process Edwards Bernays talked about in his book 'Propaganda'moldero
- Also known as the thin end of the wedge.face_melter
- It's not that it's a significant amount, it's that it sends a signal that the administration won't contribute even that small amount.monospaced
- The idea that they are defunding these programs is perfectly in line with their overall education (aka, anti-science & progress), pro religion agenda.monospaced
- i read most conservative presidents have tried to do this. We should find out exactly why.HijoDMaite
- It's not a mystery why. They're conservative, so they don't think they should pay for public things, and they hate the science that threatens their industry.monospaced
- The conservatives are also defunding Meals on Wheels, Public Housing, and a number of other public services that you know, actually help people.kona

crazy rhetoric coming out of turkey of late...
“All have the same mentality. Where will you go? Where are you taking Europe? You have begun to collapse Europe. You are dragging Europe into the abyss. Holy wars will soon begin in Europe.”
Dutch elections: Turkish minister claims 'holy wars will soon begin in Europe' after Geert Wilders beaten
http://www.independent.co.uk/new…- Was saying other day to friend, Trimp's approach to diplomatic situations is going to inspire / give mandate to many loons on this planet. Dangerous and sad!fadein11

- Media has been sleeping on Erdogan. He's been doing and saying crazy shit for years.IRNlun6
- Not on this level. Example plsfadein11
- Here Erdogan using refugees as a threat against Europe, back in Feb of '06 https://euobserver.c…IRNlun6
- He's been imprisoning his political opponents, teachers, destroyed any independent media and is bombing the fuck out of Kurds in the southern region.IRNlun6
- Plus training and funding islamic militants in Syria.IRNlun6
- Er hello. You obviously totally missed my point. He's losing his rag with Netherlands over trivial shit... The mans a loon thats why i called him one.fadein11
- Expect it to get worse. But you prob agree with his refugee lunacy rants no?fadein11
- Erdogan is dangerous, the elections that he's so worked up about are all rigged, as was the so-called military coup last year.BuddhaHat
- Why would I agree with his rants? Erdogan is likely taking advantage of the divisions in Europe/West regarding the topic of Islam.IRNlun6
- It's no coincidence his accusation of racism, Islamophobia, and Nazism sound eerily similar to many western liberals/left/dems/p...IRNlun6
- ... and yes, I do expect him to get worse. Trump isn't to blame for the actions of this tyrant.IRNlun6
- Did I say to blame? er no, at no single point... jesus. I said loons like this will get worse - it's in their nature - sociopathic narcissists. It's not rocketfadein11
- sciencefadein11
- You brought up Trump in the first comment, in a post about Erdogan. If you think Trump has inspired/given mandate, then I disagree.IRNlun6

Like I said it's important to know and understand the reason every conservative president has attempted to cut funding to CPB. It's popular to say that Conservatives are "anti-science" and this must be why Trump cut funding for the CPB.
"The idea that they are defunding these programs is perfectly in line with their overall education (aka, anti-science & progress), pro religion agenda."
-monospacedHere is one in the plus column for Trump from last month.
"Trump signs laws to promote women in STEM
Two new laws will let NASA and the National Science Foundation push for women and girls to get into science, math and related fields."https://www.cnet.com/news/trump-…
Now that doesn't sound anti-science or anti-women to me, but anyway back to CPB. Having a journalism background I am very interested in this topic. First things though we have to agree that PBS and NPR have had a liberal leaning agenda since their beginning. I don't think that one is hard to argue. Here is a quick example I found from a recent incident:
"After Joel Pollak, who serves as Breitbart’s Senior Editor-at-Large and In-house Counsel, defended its Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon from false and defamatory claims of antisemitism and “white nationalism” in a Nov. 16 interview, NPR’s ombudsman/public editor Elizabeth Jensen recommended that the taxpayer-funded radio news service bar future live interviews of conservatives, who may be “normalizing hate speech.” Instead, guests with presumably controversial views should be pre-taped, she said, so that their opinions might be “contextualized.” (NPR clarified on Monday evening that it will continue to air live interviews with conservatives.)"
Ok so this was an excerpt from a Breitbart article, but notwithstanding the source of the article the reporting is true.
This is just one of many examples of NPR having a liberal agenda. For a news organization to censor a dissenting opinion not only flies in the face of true journalism, but I'm sure was not the intent of the original Public Broadcasting Act of 1967
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pu…
It sounds like NPR is the one that has an issue to fix and that is to stop it with their biased reporting. Personally I do not feel sorry for them loosing that funding.
Of course now that Bannon is at the right seat of Trump this must have been at the top of his list. Obviously.
Also isn't everyone screaming Fascism with Trump? Isn't one of the core beliefs of Fascism to have a state controlled media to disseminate propaganda? We should be happy to cleanse the CPB of government influence.
- This issue is so minuscule in the scheme of things to come. I you are worried about state controlled media and how it will be better take a look at the pressfadein11
- briefing situation. Will dig out a good piece on it.fadein11
- no arguing that the white house press briefings are an embarrasment, but I also don't ignore the fact that there is a full media blitz against Trump when..HijoDMaite
- Obama so often got a pass from the mainstream media.HijoDMaite
- But Obama...zzzzzzz. time to focus on nowfadein11
- a) I never said anything about Trump
b) I never said fascism
c) I never said anything about women
d) I'm not wrongmonospaced - also, money toward funding CPB isn't influence towards its programming, btw, so your final argument makes no sense :/monospaced
- But... but he signed a bill. Hear that, Planned Parenthood? Everything's ok now. The GOP are done with politicising women's health. Phew! Had me worried there.face_melter
- BigBird isn't going starve, guys... so much of NPR & PBS could generate / THRIVE on their own... public funds should have been cut off a long time agoPonyBoy
- Oh come on fadein, I don't want to call you a bad word anymore pal but your 'but Obama zzzzz' is so lame. Of course comparisons are going to be made********
- The media backing of Obama and the media witch hunt for trump is incredibly significant.********
- while we're becoming supposedly bias-free, can we make churches pay taxes please?scarabin
- Yep you are right Set just didn't have much to do with the original post.fadein11
- well, he's a witchmonospaced
- ^ Yep. You can hardly characterize it as a witch hunt when you consider his pathological lying and utter failure at swamp drainage. It's deserved.BuddhaHat
- Set believes it's a witchunt by press and security services. You won't convince him otherwise.fadein11
- and let's not even mention his whingeing about Obama's golf habits, and him now getting out every weekend for a round at the 'Winter White House', akaBuddhaHat
- 'the sickeningly corrupt practice of billing the govt for millions while staying at his own resort'.BuddhaHat
- Obama made just as many empty promises.... Lies.... And the media for the most part supported him. If you fail to see that then you truly are lost.********
- no he didn't set, I can't see that 'cos that's not true, and if you can't admit that then... well, nothing, because I don't have to say something like that toBuddhaHat
- give myself a sense of superiority the way you always do. someone's always lost, or retarded, or a cunt with you. it's weak & shows a lack of counter argumentBuddhaHat
- ... but he did lie and make empty promises in exactly the same vein, how can you deny that?********
- that's a completely false equivalence... to say it was in the same vein. lies about biggest electoral college wins, lies about 'everybody being covered'BuddhaHat
- by his all-singing all-dancing medicare plan, lies about wire-tapping, lying about now starting birthergate, lying about voter fraud, lying about the highestBuddhaHat
- murder rate in 45 years, lying about unreported terrorist attacks in Europe, lying about the Mexican president 'agreeing to cancel' their meeting,BuddhaHat
- lying about Muslims cheering in Brooklyn as the towers fell, lying about the size of his inauguration crowd and how it stopped raining as he started to talk,BuddhaHat
- lying about the federal workforce growing, lying about receiving environmental awards, lying about increasing murder rate in Philly, lying about theBuddhaHat
- SCOTUS nomination of Merrick Garland, lying about being against the Iraq war from the beginning. These are all lies that can be substantiated with evidence, andBuddhaHat
- it's utterly clear that he cannot help himself, and a pathological liar is now President. You cannot produce a list with such a litany of lies produced by ObamaBuddhaHat
- hence your assertion is a false equivalency at best. Some aren't even big lies; he lies about the most unimportant things to puff himself up. He's unhinged.BuddhaHat
- Obama's promises weren't empty either. Economy rose, unemployment dropped, everyone got healthcare. Lots of republicans made his admin a nightmare.monospaced
- Oh, and he wasn't tweeting like a butthurt child every weekend, nor was he accusing the media of being the enemy. He also released his birth cert and taxesmonospaced
- Every presidency is met with the kind of obstacles that make promises hard or impossible to keep, but we can't really say the two men are equal otherwise.monospaced

Trump said he's gonna lower the price of drugs.
Sorry folks...I can't ignore that.
One sentence and he convinced me.- lol
He also said he's gonna do about a hundred other things he's not actually going to do.kona - Personally, I think he can and has a good chance of doing this.monospaced
- So let's talk this out. Trump is lowering the taxes on the rich so they can make more money. Removing restrictions on big oil, banking, etc., so they cankona
- make more money. Removing rules and regulations for big everything so they can make more money, but he's going to lower the price of drugs for bigkona
- pharma, reducing their margins, so they make... less money? Doubt that will happen.kona
- Trump seems intent on making big pharma charge fair prices. I want to think he will do this.monospaced
