I can't tell you how much I'd love to know the inner thoughts and physical feelings of both of them. Here you've got a respectable, well spoken, articulate president, sitting next to Trump who has yet to exhibit any of those qualities. A guy who insisted for years that the president wasn't a US citizen. Does Obama have the high-road ability to overlook that in this moment? Or is he just internally repeating "that asshole, that jerk, that monster" over and over and over?

It's been nonstop viciousness and hatred for the last 8 years. Obama, who there were plenty of legitimate criticisms against, instead got labelled with every stupid personal attack from Muslim to communist, and that's not even getting into the racial stuff. Trump himself was the ringleader of this with his dumb birther conspiracy.
So I don't really get this line of thought, are we saying one side can viciously slander the other but liberals can't make a comic of Trump?
What is true is that the two sides now hate each other. And this will get much much worse if Republicans come in and try to repeal everything Democrats did. It's kind of sad, seems like the U.S. is just going to bounce from one backlash to another.
